The AirTag Situation
Like any new pet parent, one of my first thoughts was: what if he gets lost?
So I did what any reasonable person would do. I decided to 3D print an AirTag holder for his collar. As I was working on the design, adding our phone number to the holder, my 8-year-old looked over my shoulder and asked:
"Dad, why don't you just put a QR code on it instead?"

So that's exactly what I did. I created a digital business card for Moses with his photo, our family picture, and all our contact info. Now his collar has an AirTag for tracking and a QR code that links straight to his card if someone finds him.
The best part? I can see how many times the QR code gets scanned. So if Moses ever does go on an adventure without us, I'll know if someone found him, even if they haven't called yet. It's a nice backup in case the AirTag fails.
It's a small thing, but it gives me peace of mind. And I have my 8-year-old to thank for the idea.
