Adding your card to Apple Wallet is the single highest-leverage thing you can do after creating it. Once it's in Wallet, sharing your card means double-tapping the side button. Two paths to get it there: one from your phone, one from a computer.
From your iPhone (easiest)
- Install the businesscards.io iOS app from the App Store.
- Sign in with your account.
- Find the card you want to add and tap the menu icon next to it.
- Tap Add to Apple Wallet.
- Apple Wallet opens with a preview of the pass. Tap Add in the top right.
Done. The pass is now in Wallet. To share, double-tap the side button on your iPhone and the pass appears with its QR code.
From a desktop browser
If you don't want to install the app, you can add the pass to your iPhone using just your computer and your phone's camera.
- On your computer, sign in to businesscards.io and open the card you want to add.
- Look for the Add to Apple Wallet button (or, on some screens, an "Apple Wallet" tile with a QR code).
- Take out your iPhone, open the camera app, and aim it at the QR code on your computer screen.
- A link appears at the top of the camera view. Tap it.
- Safari opens with the pass. Tap Add in the top right.
Same result. The pass is in Wallet, ready to share.
If you have multiple cards
You can add as many passes to Wallet as you want, one per card. To pick which one to share, swipe through your passes when Wallet is open. If you have a favorite, mark it in the iOS app: see setting your favorite card.
Updates
When you edit your card on the website, the Wallet pass updates automatically. You don't need to re-add it. The new info shows up the next time you open Wallet.
