Managing your contacts

Every person who shares their info through one of your cards or forms becomes a contact. The contacts dashboard is where they all live, regardless of which card they came in through.

Where contacts come from

A contact can come from several sources, each labeled in the list:

  • Digital card. The visitor used the contact-back form on one of your cards.
  • Custom form. The visitor submitted one of your custom forms.
  • Business card scan. You scanned a paper business card through our scanner tool.
  • Manual. You entered the contact yourself.
  • Import. You uploaded a CSV.
  • Zapier / API. A contact pushed in from an external automation.

Viewing and searching

Open Contacts from the main menu. The list shows every contact with name, email, phone, source, and date. The search box filters by name or email. Click a contact to open the detail view, which has every field they provided plus any notes you've added.

Editing a contact

Open the detail page and click Edit. You can update any field. This is helpful when someone mistyped their email or you want to add context (a note like "met at Dreamforce, follow up next week").

Deleting a contact

On the detail page, click Delete. The contact is removed. Deletion is permanent and does not propagate to your CRM, so if you've already synced with HubSpot or Salesforce, you'd remove the contact there too.

Exporting to CSV

Click Export at the top of the contacts list to download a CSV of every contact. The file includes name, email, phone, company, title, source, and date. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or import it into another CRM.

Notifications

Notification frequency is set per card (or per form for custom forms), not globally on the contacts dashboard. To change how often you hear about new contacts on a specific card, open the card editor and look in the contact form section.

CRM sync

When you connect HubSpot, Salesforce, or Zapier, new contacts created after the connection get pushed to the connected system automatically. Existing contacts you had before connecting are not backfilled. If you want them in your CRM, export them to CSV and import on that side.
