A paper business card only goes one way: you give them yours, you hope they give you theirs. A digital card can close that loop. Turn on the contact-back button and anyone who opens your card can submit their details with a quick form. Their info ends up in your contacts list and (optionally) in your CRM.
Turning it on
- Open your card in the editor.
- Find the Contact form (or Collect contacts) section.
- Toggle Collect contacts on.
- Save.
A button appears on your public card. The default label is "Send me your info"; you can customize the wording.
Customizing the form
You can control:
- Button text. Change the label on the button (e.g. "Send me your info", "Connect", "Let's keep in touch").
- Form title and description. The heading and the line of explanatory text shown above the form fields.
- Which fields are required. First name, last name, email, phone, title, and company can each be set to required or optional.
What happens when someone submits
- The visitor fills in the form on your public profile page.
- The submission lands in your Contacts dashboard.
- You get an email notification (configurable, see below).
- If you've connected HubSpot or Salesforce, the contact is pushed there automatically.
- The submitter gets a "you sent your info" confirmation, plus your vCard as a download so they have your details too.
Email notifications
You can choose how often you get notified about new contacts. The options are:
- Every contact. A separate email for each new submission. Best for low-volume cards.
- Daily digest. One email per day summarizing the contacts you got that day. Good for trade shows.
- No notifications. Off entirely. The contacts still land in your dashboard.
This setting lives in the same section as the contact-form toggle.
If you need a richer form
The contact-back form is intentionally short: a few standard fields and you're done. If you need extra questions (intent, budget, custom checkboxes, etc.) build a custom form on Plus and above. See creating a custom lead-capture form.
